Repaying Your Loan
When Are My ABF Loan Payments Due?
Students who received a loan as a part of their financial aid award begin repaying their loan 12-months after graduating. Payments are amortized over a 10 year period at which time the outstanding loan balance will be due. There is no fee for paying off your loan prior to the required payment start date or at any time during the 10-year period. Payments are made directly to our loan service provider, UNISA, Inc.

Current Options for Deferring Payments
You may be eligible to defer your student loan payments due to changing circumstances or status. However a formal request must be filed with our loan administrator.
If you would like to request a 3-month deferment, or you need an extension to a previous approved loan payment deferment, we encourage you to contact Robin Naik, our loan administrator, at loans@albertbakerfund.org
Circumstances warranting deferment of payments:
- Resuming your education as a full-time student
- Serving in the U.S. Military or Peace Corps
